Our Program

Horizons at MSD is a free*, six-week summer enrichment program for 3-, 4- and 5-year-old children who will be eligible for free or reduced-price lunch in their local public schools. (*There is a one-time $25 application fee.)

We provide academic enrichment, swimming lessons, and a supportive long-term community. Grounded in Montessori principles, our program provides daily breakfast, lunch and snack, bilingual instruction, small student groupings for social-emotional learning, and a carefully prepared learning environment designed specifically to capitalize on the student’s natural curiosity and love of learning.

Goals of the Program

• Provide access to a Montessori education.
• Prepare children academically for a new school year.
• Foster personal growth, independence and social-emotional development.
• Provide enrichment opportunities outside the regular school year.

Timeline

• The program runs for six weeks beginning in June 2026. Children attend the program Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Please note: MSD is closed the week of July 4th.
